Skyr has a thick, creamy consistency produced by culturing milk and straining it. Icelandic Provisions describes heating milk before adding its skyr cultures, and identifies straining as central to the texture. Its dairy range includes berry flavours such as strawberry with lingonberry and wild blueberry with bilberry.^[1]

Fresh berries can also be added separately when serving. Icelandic Provisions’ blackberry bowl places vanilla-flavoured skyr in a bowl and tops it with fresh blackberries. This version keeps the fruit as a topping rather than incorporating it into the cultured dairy.^[2]
