Roasted round dough balls served with mashed vegetable sides.
Litti Chokha

Litti chokha combines litti, filled balls of whole-wheat dough, with chokha, a vegetable mash. The Bihari preparation uses sattu, flour made from roasted chickpeas, as the filling. Seasonings may include cumin, fennel, ajwain, nigella, ginger, garlic and mustard oil; pickle seasoning can also be used.[1]

Litti are traditionally roasted over charcoal or a dried cow-dung fire, while home versions may be baked in an oven. Chokha can be made from eggplant, tomato or potato. The cooked litti are broken and eaten with chokha and melted ghee, either dipped in the ghee or drizzled with it.[1]
