Nasi Padang

Nasi Padang is a rice meal associated with the Minangkabau cuisine of West Sumatra. Its name refers to Padang, the provincial capital. Accompaniments include beef rendang, chicken or beef gulai, ayam pop and telur barendo, an egg dish. Rendang is cooked slowly with coconut milk and spices.[1]
In restaurants, servers may bring several plates of different accompaniments to the table, carrying them in stacks. Nasi Padang is also sold as a takeaway meal. Vendors range from market stalls and food carts to restaurants in shopping centres.[1]
