Se'i sapi
Indonesia · Southeast Asia

Se’i sapi is smoked beef associated with Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara. Se’i Sapi Lamalera, a restaurant in Bandung, describes its own preparation as beef seasoned with spices and slowly smoked using kosambi wood. The restaurant serves it with vegetables, an accompanying broth and a choice of sauces.[1]
Its sambal lu’at includes kemangi leaves and pieces of fermented citrus peel. Other choices on the restaurant’s menu include sambal matah, green sambal, rica-rica and black-pepper seasoning.[1]
