klepe

Klepe are filled dumplings associated with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Aida’s beef version uses a dough of flour, water and salt, with an optional egg. Minced beef and finely chopped onion form the filling. The rolled dough is cut into circles or squares, filled and sealed into crescents or triangles.[1]

The dumplings are boiled in batches, drained and placed in a baking dish. Sour cream and heavy cream are mixed and poured over them, followed by a separate topping of butter, garlic and paprika. They are then baked and served warm with bread and a side salad.[1]
