Kačamak

Kačamak is a dense Montenegrin potato-and-flour dish finished with cheese or kajmak, a clotted cream. The Atlas of Typical Food from Montenegro describes cooking potatoes in water, adding flour and stirring with a wooden spoon until the mixture becomes a dense mass. Cheese or cream is added at the end.[1]

It is prepared in northern and central Montenegro. Stone-ground local corn flour, white cheese and skorup are among the ingredients used. Thick homemade yoghurt is a suggested accompaniment.[1]
