Hininy

Hininy is a Saudi dish of wheat bread, dates and ghee, particularly associated with Qassim. It is prepared especially in winter. The bread is cut into pieces and worked together with mashed dates and ghee until the mixture has a doughlike consistency.[1]

The wheat is first ground, made into dough and baked before being combined with the other ingredients. More ghee is poured over the finished dish; lemon or citron may be added as an acidic topping.[1]
