Matazeez

Matazeez is a Saudi dish of small pieces of dough cooked with meat and vegetables, especially associated with Riyadh and Qassim. The dough is made from whole-wheat flour and salt. Sheep shoulder or leg, onions, tomatoes and whole spices form the broth, with green beans, aubergines and potatoes among the vegetables.[1]
The dough is rolled out, cut into small pieces and cooked in the broth with the other ingredients. Flour and seasonings vary between regions. Related dishes such as marqooq use similar ingredients but differ in how the dough is prepared and cut.[1]
