Key Lime Pie

Key lime pie is a tart, creamy dessert associated with the Florida Keys. Florida Keys tourism describes a filling of sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and Key lime juice in a graham-cracker crust, topped with whipped cream or meringue.[1]

PJ Hamel’s version for King Arthur Baking adds lime zest to the filling. Its crumb crust contains melted butter, confectioners’ sugar and salt, and is baked before the filling is added. Hamel also offers a pretzel crust as an alternative.[2]
