Chivito canadiense

Chivito canadiense is a version of Uruguay’s chivito sandwich. Tomás Bartesaghi’s preparation for Canal10 lists lomo steak, ham, cheese and panceta together with lettuce, tomato and onion. The bread is a pan tortuga roll, and the programme presents the sandwich with fries.^[1]

It belongs to the same family of layered beef sandwiches as Marcelo Bornio’s chivito, which combines steak with cooked ham, mozzarella, panceta, salad vegetables, mayonnaise and fried egg. Bartesaghi’s published ingredient list includes onion and names a different bread roll.^[1][2]
