Mie Goreng

Mie goreng is a fried-noodle dish found in Indonesian cooking. A Javanese preparation published by Sasa combines yellow noodles with eggs, sliced beef meatballs, mustard greens and cabbage. Its seasonings include garlic, shallots, candlenut, shrimp paste, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce and oyster sauce.[1]

The ground aromatics are fried before the eggs, meatballs and noodles are mixed into the pan. Sauces coat the noodles, and vegetables are added near the end of cooking. Fried shallots finish the dish, with tomato and cucumber served alongside it.[1]
